Amend.org's programs focus on the neglected epidemic of childhood injury in developing nations. Our focus is prevention: stopping injuries before they happen. All of Amend's work is evidence-driven, measurable and self-sustaining.

Jeffrey Witte
Jeffrey is Amend.org''s executive director. Prior to founding Amend in late 2004, he worked as a political organizer and in media production.

Isaac Kofi Yankson
Kofi is Amend.org's Ghana country director. He holds a BSc (Biology) and diploma in education from the Universiy of Cape Coast in Cape Coast, Ghana, and holds a MPH from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi, Ghana.

Muhsin Barko
Muhsin is Amend.org's Ghana office manager. He has many years’ experience as a researcher and public health administrator.

Kingsley Amoako
Kingsley is Amend.org's Ghana program manager.




Michael Drexler
Michael Drexler is executive director of structured finance at ABN-AMRO.

Leila Kazemi
Leila Kazemi is currently completing her Ph.D in international relations, focusing on the effects of foreign investments on developing countries. She has been involved with a number of national and international organizations devoted to promoting social progress.

Julie Kennedy
Julie Kennedy heads up program evaluation at Millennium Promise, a global NGO dedicated to achieving the Millennium Development Goal of halving extreme poverty by 2015.

Adam L. Kushner, MD, MPH

Adam L. Kushner is a board-certified general surgeon who practices exclusively in developing countries.

Vivien Labaton

Vivien Labaton is a lawyer in New York City. She is currently on a fellowship at the Center for Reproductive Rights.

Moby is a well-known musician, social activist, entrepreneur, and artist.

Ben Wikler
Ben was press secretary for Sherrod Brown's U.S. Senate campaign, producer of The Al Franken Show on Air America Radio, and a contributor to The Onion. He is currently campaign director at Avaaz.org, a global advocacy organization.

Alexander is a filmmaker who dedicates much of his time to global issues.

Andrew Boose

Andrew is the founder of AAB Productions, a leading event production firm with experience in New York, Paris, Los Angeles, Venice, San Francisco, Cannes, Boston, Berlin, Philadelphia, Milan, and elsewhere.

S. Khatun Huber

S. Khatun Huber is a writer, executive coach and member of the International Coaching Federation. Certified as a rescue professional by Wilderness Medical Associates, she specializes in wilderness search & rescue and urban mass casualty disaster scenarios. She is also a member of the Red Cross Disaster Reserve and has been a regular commentator and panelist on Sirius radio.

Uzodinma Iweala
Uzodinma has received a number of prizes for his writing, including the Eager Prize, the Horman Prize, the Le Baron Briggs Prize, and the Hoopes Prize. He is the author of the novel Beasts of No Nation.

Bianca D'Souza
Bianca is a public health professional with extensive international experience in program design, implementation, and evaluation. She currently lives in London and works on the tuberculosis control team at the U.K. Health Protection Agency.

Alex Guerrero, MD
Alex Guerrero is a physician based in New York City specializing in developing world trauma surgery and injury epidemiology. He has worked in Africa and Latin America.

Charles Mock, MD, Ph.D
A pioneer in the field of injury in developing nations, Dr. Mock is active worldwide with injury-prevention initiatives and is the head of trauma care at the World Health Organization.
